Wayne Parker is a Vice President with Insurance Office of America (IOA), one of the ten largest privately-held property/ casualty insurance agencies in the US. Wayne spent many years in the Washington, DC area with The International Foundation and The Export Import Bank. In 1994 he returned home to Alabama and ran for the US House of Representatives. After winning the Republican nomination he lost to the incumbent Democrat 49.5% to 50.5%. He lost again in 1996. Wayne is a fourth generation native of Huntsville and active in volunteer efforts in the community - serving on the board of the Lincoln Village Preservation Corporation, the Development Council of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation and on the Session of Southwood Presbyterian Church.
